Happy Release Day - Bounty's End by AJ Williams

Thomas wants more out of life.  Tired of the bounty hunting scene, and with the knowledge that his sister is in current danger, Thomas decides it is time to get out.  Time to make his dream come true and help his family heal.  However, before that happens, he has to rescue his neighbor—the woman he has been lusting after—from unsuspecting danger that lurks at every corner.

Wen has been love with her neighbor, Thomas, for the last six months.  Yet, with his schedule and her inability to welcome a new relationship, Wen is certain that her love will stay hidden.  It does, until she learns that she’s being followed. Not wanting to intrude on her family, she calls Thomas.

Can Thomas rescue Wen and his dream?  Or will danger permanently keep him from both?

When Thomas heard the shots ring out he did not hesitate to charge towards the gunfire.  It was built into him just as it was built into Jefferson and Alek.  All three of them knew that Keylee was out in the front and though it was Keylee they were charging towards it would not have matter.  Each of them put in their time to serve their country.  Coming to the aid of others was something natural.

When he reached the front of the building what he saw nearly sent him to his knees.  Despite the fact, that they all have seen horrendous things in life, the image of Keylee on the floor face down arms stretched out was something he could have gone without.  He glanced at Jefferson silently sharing the same image of once a long time ago seeing Keylee strapped to a chair naked and bleeding while a psychopath held her captive.  As those images reared forward he stood there for a brief second before rushing over to Keylee and the blond woman who was under her.
