Feel the Heat by Kate Meader Guest Post & Giveaway

FEEL THE HEAT by Kate Meader
Hot in the Kitchen, Book 1

IF YOU CAN'T STAND THE HEAT . . .

Photographer Lili DeLuca spends all her time managing her family's Italian restaurant, instead of following her dream of getting an MFA. When famous British chef Jack Kilroy unexpectedly challenges her father to a cook-off, Lili decides she's tired of playing it safe and vows to seduce the tempting Brit. But once a video of her and Jack kissing goes viral and her luscious butt starts trending on Twitter, Lili fears she's cooked up a recipe for disaster.

. . . GET INTO THE BEDROOM

Jack Kilroy's celebrity has left him feeling used and used up. While Lili's oh-so-sexy moans when she tastes his delicious creations turn him on, he's even more aroused by how unimpressed this beautiful, funny woman is with his fame. He knows they could be amazing together, if she could only see past his bitch fork-wielding fan base. Now, as he's about to start a new prime time TV cooking show, can Jack convince Lili to realize her own ambitions - and turn up the heat in his kitchen?

The Hero in Pursuit – Guest Post by Kate Meader
Feel the Heat Blog Tour

Thanks to Kim for allowing me to share my love of the hero in pursuit and particularly one hero: Jack Kilroy, the celebrity chef in my foodie romance, Feel the Heat. This is the first book in my Chicago-set Hot in the Kitchen series about an Italian restaurant-owning family and the sexy, sizzling chefs who love them. Now we all love a world-weary rake, the commitment-phobe who resists, the guy who breaks out in a rash at the mere mention of marriage—at least until he meets the right girl. But one of my favorite tropes is the man who sees what he wants and pulls out all the stops to get it. Jack—arrogant, driven, and just a touch jaded—is self-aware enough to know something is missing from his life. He certainly didn’t expect to find it when a curvaceous smart mouth in a Wonder Woman costume takes him down with a frying pan, but once cast iron meets big British head, the chase is on. She’s already brought him to his knees—and his heart isn’t far behind.

Lili isn’t looking for a relationship: she’s been there, done that, got the t-shirt, mug, and key-ring from her out-of-her-league ex. Hot guys get bored. Hot guys wander (often into the arms of hot, lithe blondes). Hot guys are for Christmas and birthdays. And when she sees that Jack Kilroy, superstar chef is clearly interested in her, Lili decides he’s got his uses and she’s celebrating Yuletide in July. But Jack is trying to shake off his tabloid reputation and one-night stands are no longer on the menu. He’s not putting out until Lili agrees to a date, which makes for some very frustrating moments for both of them—and quite the build of sexual tension for us! He cooks mouthwatering meals. He woos with goat cheese caramel gelato. He teases with hot kisses and even hotter hands. Something’s gotta give and when it does… well, you’ll have to read the book to see just how explosive it gets.

Hahaha.. I loved the frying pan scene.  It was quite entertaining.  Painful for Jack, I’m sure.  But I couldn’t help laughing.  Stick around for some info and Kate, then check out the blog tour giveaway she has going on.  Thanks for stopping by Kate!

About Kate
Kate Meader writes contemporary romance that serves up delicious food, to-die-for heroes, and heroines with a dash of sass. Originally from Ireland, she cut her romance reader teeth on Catherine Cookson and Jilly Cooper novels, with some Mills & Boons thrown in for variety. Give her tales about brooding mill owners, oversexed equestrians, and men who can rock an apron, and she’s there. She has a bachelor’s in law (useless), a master’s in history (not as useless), and another master’s in library and information science (yay, using). When not writing about men who cook and the women who drool over them, she works in an academic library. Her stories are set in her adopted hometown of Chicago, a city made for food, romance, and laughter – and where she met her own sexy hero. For news, excerpts, and recipes, check out her website.

    2. It's okay Amanda.

My husband cooks the cool meals for me (Salmon with truffle oil). Me, I make him chicken salad, because he has NO idea how to make it. I know. That sounds really weird. But you should have saw him trying to make a PB&J sandwich. He needed instructions.
