Spotlight ~ SOMETHING'S COOKING by Meg Lacey

Tess Banyon has turned her brilliant recipe and crafting ideas into a multimedia empire. Landing her own TV show throws her into a panic. If she's not careful, the public will discover she isn't the domestic diva everyone thinks she is.
Investigative reporter Josh Faraday smells something smoking in Tess's world. His goal to expose the real Tess goes into overdrive when she lands a television show deal. He secures an assignment to shadow her, reporting on her program, but what he's really doing is getting dirt for his expose. Things get even stickier when Tess's family play matchmaker. There's no shortage of fire between them, and after an impulsive night together, Josh discovers a story he never expected--or bargained for.

I wrote my first novel in the sixth grade, my own version of a classic historical romance. However, my writing career didn't last. Instead I went into theatre and studied acting and directing for my bachelors and masters degrees before ending up in media as a writer-producer.

Over the years, I've been an actress, director, producer, creative director, CEO, copywriter, creative dramatics teacher, mime, mom, college instructor, and a school bus driver (and are there stories in that experience!) I've created and worked as a Vice President and a CEO in two creative marketing and media companies in the Midwest. I've worked in all media from network cable programming to corporate initiatives; to games and interactive websites. Through it all, I've always returned to writing.

I've written for Silhouette and Harlequin, and you can find my titles available in digital format at any online bookstore.

I have three funny, mouthy, independent daughters, who are now all married and creating chaos in someone else's life. My husband is my true hero—he's survived life in a house with four women, two female cats and a female dog and can still remember how to tie his shoes.
