Series: Tavonesi Series
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: December 8, 2015

In A Very Daring Christmas, USA Today Bestselling author Pamela Aares' newest book in the Tavonesi Series, an invitation to join his teammate for Christmas throws sports phenom Jake Ryder straight into the path of Hollywood sensation Cameron Kelley, the one woman he's fighting to forget. ~ Sensual, intoxicating characters that will steal your heart! ~ (Rachael Herron).

When Cameron Kelly agreed to leverage her status as a Hollywood A-list movie star to help children in Dominia, nothing prepared her for the unthinkable poverty in the remote villages. Nor did she expect to run into a major league baseball star who shocks loose her pent-up desires. The next man she lets anywhere close to her heart will be a normal guy, not a celebrity, and certainly not a cocky All-Star. Yet when she sees the sexy athlete coaching the local kids in a makeshift sandlot, her heart and her body stop listening to her head.

Flying high after winning the World Series, Jake Ryder is in the Caribbean to rehab his season-sore body and coach village children who are crazy about baseball. Running into Cameron, though, may send him packing. The heat sparking between the two of them has him rethinking his Three-Date Rule, something he swore he'd never do. And when she tries to manipulate him into a publicity stunt to fund her UNICAN project, he decides it’s game over. He's been used too many times and won't be used again.

A surprise invitation to Trovare Castle throws them together once more. A mysterious prince and a fatherless boy complicate their already tense reunion, but they soon discover that the greatest dare is the one that leads to true love.

Hi Pamela,  thank you for joining me today.
Thanks for taking time during this really busy season to have me on your blog, it's an honor!
Congratulations on your latest release, A Very Daring Christmas.  Tell me about the book and the series.
The Tavonesi family series features the fascinating Tavonesi clan and their captivating friends. Much of the series takes place in the wine country and coast of Sonoma, California. A VERY DARING CHRISTMAS is the eighth book in the Tavonesi family series features passion, mystery, and well-won love. I write each book in the series so that it can be read as a standalone.
The first books in the series feature hot baseball heroes with passions that pull them not only into the game but away from it as well. Alex Tavonesi, the hero of Love Bats Last has inherited his family's vineyard and a castle that was his father's dream project. Like all the heroes in the series, Alex has to juggle being a sports phenom with the love and responsibility he feels for his family's heritage. When he meets Jackie Brandon, he doesn't have time for love. But we all know that the universe throws in our path exactly what we need to become whole people.
The heroines of the Tavonesi series are worldly, smart, passionate about their pursuits in life, and determined not to let any man clip their wings.
All the books in the series take readers behind-the-scenes into worlds they might never before have visited or imagined. I love hearing from readers that they'd felt like they had been on a journey to a new and fascinating world.
Tell me more about the main characters, Jake Ryder and Cameron Kelly.
Jake and Cameron's first encounter is on the island of Dominia. Cameron agreed to leverage her status as a Hollywood A-list movie star to help children in Dominia, but nothing prepared her for the unthinkable poverty in the remote villages. Nor did she expect to run into a major league baseball star who frees all of her pent-up desires. The next man she lets anywhere close to her heart will be a normal guy, not a celebrity, and certainly not a cocky All Star.
He's been used too many times by women with an agenda. He won't be used again.
A surprise invitation to Trovare Castle throws them together once more. A mysterious prince and a fatherless boy complicate their already tense reunion, but they soon discover that the greatest dare is the one that leads to true love.

Was there anything about this book which surprised you and if so what?
As many of my readers know, my husband is an All-Star who played in baseball's Major League for eleven seasons. I thought I knew a lot about the game going into this book, but diving in to the setting of the winter league play and discovering the hope that baseball holds for the kids from poor villages was astonishing. Part of the friction early on between Cameron and Jake is that she does not understand this hope and how it draws a life forward.
How was writing a Christmas story different from writing a regular contemporary romance?
Confession: I LOVE Christmas! I love how people open their hearts, the smells, the celebrations, the sounds, and the effort people make to have face-to-face time with each other. So getting to put in a sexy, feisty charades evening, a cookie bake-off and a journey to cut a Christmas tree was beyond fabulous fun.  I have to admit that the sensual elements of the holidays played a starring role as well. But I don't want to give everything away...
You currently have eight books in the series, with another one coming soon.  How many books do you plan on having in the series and did you intend for there to be so many in the series?
Oh how I wish I could write faster! There are so many characters clamoring to be a part of the Tavonesi Series. And I love all of them. I have started what I am calling a 'Second Season' within the series.
In this Tavonesi Series: Second Season, the heroes will have passions and pursuits that may not involve a specific sport. Parker Tavonesi, the hero of the 9th book (which I am currently writing) is a wine baron, an international polo star and a party aficionado. The heroine, Juliet Cabot is passionate about the oceans and the amazing animals in them.
Readers have asked for Parker's story and it's been great fun to work on it. Coco Tavonesi is another reader favorite and she will soon have her story as well. I'm having a hard time shushing her and her hero so I can get on with writing NO STRANGER TO LOVE.
There will likely be at least five more books in this Second Season of the Tavonesi Series.
What do you love most about Jake and Cameron?
Jake's a strapping Alpha who grew up on the wrong side of the tracks and now finds himself in the high paying, high ranking world of a professional sport. Under all the protective armor is a big-hearted Southern man who would do anything to protect the people he loves.
Cameron's the daughter of a Hollywood movie star but she's also an Oscar-winning actress in her own right. Though Cameron knows the perils of Hollywood, she isn't jaded. But she sure isn't interested in a high profile relationship and Jake Ryder is about as high profile as they come. When she realizes she needs him to help secure funding for the project to help the people of Dominia, she crosses boundaries she never dared to imagine breaching.

What do you think they would say about you, their author?
Hmm... that the fast-paced events of the story locked them into an emotional pressure-cooker that challenged all their prejudices and long-held beliefs about life.

Thank you so much for taking the time to chat with me.  Congratulations again.
I'm just thrilled to share this time leading up to the holidays with you and your readers. Thank you so much! And I wish everyone joy and peace and delight in the coming year!
