Review ~ CHRISTMAS LULLABIES by Isabel Micheals

Christmas Lullabies (Mustang Valley, #1)
by: Isabel Micheals
Series: Mustang Valley
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: July 7, 2017
Publisher: Self Published

Taylor and Sam's plans were simple: graduate from college, find good paying jobs, and eventually get married and start a family. But when Fate intervenes, things in Mustang Valley get a lot more interesting.

Not only does Taylor have to tell Sam that she's pregnant, she also has to break the news to her parents. The same conservative parents who live in a small town and are about as Southern Baptist as they come. To say the train has derailed from the tracks would be an understatement.

Sam has wanted a family of his own for as long as he could remember. He knew in grade school that Taylor was his soul mate and would be the one he'd marry. Now, he just needs to convince her that this had always been their destiny.

Fortunately, things aren't always what they seem. Secrets come to light and faith will be tested. But with the help of a few good friends and a little holiday magic, Taylor and Sam will once again find the spirit of Christmas in Mustang Valley.

Isabel Michaels returns her focus to the romance world with Christmas Lullabies.  This is a sweet romance with a slight religious undertone.  Taylor Ratcliff and Sam Rogers have been sweethearts for years.  They are about to graduate from college and start the next chapter in their lives.  But as with life, things are about to get bumpy for these two.

Taylor’s life starts to fall apart when she finds out she’s pregnant and doesn’t have enough credits to graduate on time.  Not only does she have to tell Sam, but she has to tell her parents who are extremely religious and are all about appearances.  To her surprise, Sam is actually happy and more than ready to move forward with their lives together.  Unfortunately, the same can not be said for her parents.

Christmas Lullabies pairs a sweet and loveable couple together.  It shows what family and friendship is all about.  Be prepared for a couple of surprises.  I will only say that things are not always as they appear.

If you’ve read and liked Isabel’s The Wedding Chaos, you’re going to love this story.  For me, the only draw back was that it was a little too sweet.  There wasn’t drama where I thought there should have been.  The story was ultimately just a little too clean cut for me, but I definitely enjoyed the sweet journey.
