Review ~ HOLD ME DOWN HARD by Cathryn Fox

When Eden Carver, Iowa farm girl turned NY actress, decides to seduce the sexy cop next door, she begins to wonder if she’s bitten off more than she can chew.

The last thing Officer Jay Bennett wants is to cross a line with the sweet and innocent country girl—no matter how much he’d like to help himself to a nibble. Not only are they in the friendship zone, a naïve girl like Eden doesn’t belong in his dangerous world.

But when she asks him to help her rehearse lines, and things go from simmer to boil, he finds himself doing the one thing he swore he’d never do. He knows he needs to walk away from temptation, but when sweet little Eden bites back, it tilts his world on its axis. Because biting back changes everything.

REVIEW

With a title like Hold Me Down Hard, I should have known what to expect. Too bad I didn’t.  Hold Me Down Hard may be a small little novella, but it packs some serious freaking heat.  I’m talking explosive heat, where it’s best to read with a glass of ice water nearby.

Eden Carver and Jay Bennett have been friends and neighbors for the past three years.  Jay has put the sweet little farm girl Eden so far in the “friend zone” it’s not even funny.  Eden is now tired of the sexy cop just being her friend and wants more.  Since they already spend time together rehearsing whatever lines for parts Eden is up for, she decides to write a script detailing what she wants.

Things get a little uncomfortable for Jay when the script calls for him to kiss and do more to Eden.  What transpires between these two is hotter than hot and more than either of them expects.  If you’re looking for a short read to overheat you, this is definitely the book for you.
