She couldn't get him out of her mind--and that's when the trouble started.
FBI Special Agent Alana Matheson is good at her job, despite a past that would make even a seasoned agent cringe. She has no time for the outside help the victims' family has brought in on a kidnapping case, no matter how good looking he is.
But galactic tracker Gabriel Cruz is no ordinary private investigator, and the skills he brings to the job will save both their lives. Because Lana and Gabriel are not the only ones seeking an unusual little boy and his mother. Their rivals in the chase are not of this world, and only an alliance built on the bonds of love can ensure that Lana and Gabriel beat the alien hunters to their prey.
REVIEW
Telepaths, aliens, and slaves, oh my. Trouble in Mind was packed with all sorts of futuristic concepts complete with spaceships, laser beams, and attempts at Galactic Domination. Visions of Captain Kirk come to mind. And just like on Star Trek, there was plenty of sexual activity to go along with trying to keep law and order throughout the universe. And in this instance, there is an ensemble cast of heroes just like the crew aboard the Starship Enterprise. The main hero is Gabriel Cruz who is trying to prevent his alien half brothers from locating a human boy that has been kidnapped on earth. This boy, Jack also has extraordinary powers not too different from the powers that Gabriel possesses. In trying to locate Jack and his mother, Gabriel is forced to team up with suspicious and attractive FBI Agent Alana Matheson.
Gabriel and Alana have an attraction that can’t be denied. When they finally get together, the passion is white hot. Gabriel’s telepathic abilities even heat up their intercourse, taking mental stimulation to another level. Interestingly enough, we get to peek in on several others partaking in carnal endeavors. Needless to say, there was plenty of sex to go around. However, there was plenty of other action involving political deception, espionage, and an epic battle at the end. Plenty of people died and in very violent ways. The bad guys are REALLY bad. Trouble in Mind did not disappoint. It took a little while to wrap my mind around all of the alien references but once it all came together, I truly enjoyed the story and really liked all of the characters. I would definitely read another book by Donna S. Frelick.
