Darkly sexy, emotional and forbidden, a woman unwittingly falls in love with the son of her abductor. The conclusion of a two-book contemporary romance series by New York Times Bestselling author Monica Murphy.

Lies hurt. Lies destroy. I tried my best to understand why Ethan kept his secrets but it was so hard. Until I realized that I couldn't deny myself any longer -- I needed to be with him. We needed each other. Despite my family's wariness, the media's fascination with us, the fact that his father still has a stranglehold on our lives, we belong together. No matter what. I will never let Ethan go. But sometimes love destroys us too, and we're too weak to banish the demons. Especially when our demons are determined to ruin us...

REVIEW
Monica Murphy’s Never Tear Us Apart series is enlightening, gut-wrenching, heart-pounding, and heart-breaking.  It truly covers all the spectrums of emotions. Prepare yourself for an incredible journey of two characters brought together under horrific circumstances, who manage to find love throughout all the chaos.  To fully grasp the events of Never Let You Go, you need to read Never Tear Us Apart first.

Never Let You Go picks up where Never Tear Us Apart ended.  It shows the struggles Katherine “Katie” Watts and Will Monroe/Ethan Williams endure while attempting to be a couple and the fall out of their relationship.  “Everything’s a struggle, especially relationships that are worth fighting for.”  Monica has went all out with this story.  Where NTUA shows the true evils of the world, NLYG shows a light at the end of a tunnel.  Don’t get me wrong, there are still some bad things going on in this story but I didn’t feel the need to skip any chapters.  The suspense is definitely there, but the surprises are mind blowing.

Katie is a survivor.  She has this unbelievable inner strength.  She’s smart, loyal, and remarkably still a kind and caring person.  She wants to be “normal” but there isn’t a manual for surviving being kidnapped, raped, and almost killed by a serial killer at the age of twelve.  Or how you’re supposed to deal with knowing you’re in love with the son of the man who brought hell to your front door and almost destroyed you.

Will/Ethan is also a survivor.  And equally as incredible as Katie.  Throughout the stories, the abuse he suffered at the hands of his father is often pushed to the wayside.  But despite everything he’s been through, he has managed to hold onto his humanity and compassion.  Much like Katie, he has closed himself off to the world.  He has a wisdom that surprises me.  When Katie has problems with her family, he’s able to see through all the chaos and find the real truth, the actual root of the problem.  Will helps Katie navigate her emotions and the world like nobody else can.

I find it hard to discuss the book without giving away details.  I will say I cried angry tears.  I also cried tears of joy.  In the end, I was left with a smile on my face and a feeling of satisfaction that these two and their family conquered the unimaginable. This is a series that is going to stay with me forever.
