Hands On is the first of a three-part erotic series from New York Times and USA best-selling author Cathryn Fox.
When hot as hell Danielle Lang showed up and asked me to teach her about sex, I thought I was hallucinating. Turns out the beautiful psychologist needed an extra bit of schooling in all things sexual so she could teach a class.
I’m always up for helping a friend. I mean, it’s the least I can do. What I wasn’t expecting is for her to turn the tables and teach me a few things. Only this short-term promise of two weeks in her bed is going by a little too quickly. Not that I’m thinking forever or anything.
I’ve got a football career to get back to. And she doesn’t want to be a part of my world. There’s no way we can be together—so I’m going to make sure I enjoy every sexy second….
REVIEW
I’ve read several of Cathryn Fox’s books and I tend to like what I read from her. There’s no question she knows how to write hot smexy times. And for the length of this first book, she comes through.
Danielle Lang is a 25-year-old bookworm. She has been her entire life. Fresh out of grad school with a degree in Psychology, she has an opportunity to make some good money, get ahead of her bills, and save for her dream house and career. The job? Thought you would never ask. It’s teaching a sex therapy class to freshmen. First problem, while she can read everything she needs to know about the subject, she kind of wants to have some first hand experience. Second problem, when I say experience, Danielle has none whatsoever. Her solution is to find a guy and just get the deed done. In walks 29-year-old professional football player, Jack Rider. Jack happens to have gone to the same high school as Danielle. And she might have had a thing for him. Jack has a well-deserved reputation with the ladies and once Danielle asks him to be her teacher, he readily agrees, until he finds out how inexperienced she truly is.
I’ll admit that I’m a visual person and seeing the cover for Hands On is what grabbed my attention. Then, the blurb had me. Unfortunately, the blurb is in first person and this installment of the serial is in third person. Definitely disappointing.
Since Hands On is the first part of a three part serial, it does end in a cliffhanger. While I’m not a fan of cliffhangers, I can say the first part ended at the right point. When Jack and Danielle are together, he does like to push her out of her comfort zone. It will be very interesting to see how this serial plays out.
