Gambling on seduction to save a marriage...

The holidays are approaching fast, and Annabella Cristy—a thirty-nine-year-old, plumper-than-she’d-like-to-be, mother of three—is determined not to let another year end without reigniting the spark in her marriage. So she enlists the help of three not-so-happily married, similarly sexless friends to stage a seduction of their husbands on game night.

…could be the riskiest bet of all.

When Jack Cristy finds a brand new negligee and a pair of sexy silver stilettoes hidden in the back of the closet he shares with his wife, he knows something’s up. It’s been years since she’s come to his bed wearing anything close to sexy. Why does she have them? And just who the hell is she planning to wear them for?

A holiday short story. Approximately 12,000 words.

*Previously published as The Group Seduction.

REVIEW

The stresses of life pushes a couple to the breaking point in To Save a Marraige: Game Night Seduction.

Wendy S. Marcus is one of my favorite authors.  There hasn't been a book from her that I haven't loved.  This book gets 4 stars from me because the timing didn't work for me.  I needed an upbeat, joyous book, To Save a Marriage is a little sad and depressing. However, To Save a Marriage is real and that's what I like about it.  I think every married couple at some point in their marriage dismisses and ignores their spouse.  Work, kids, just life in general start to take up their time and the person they love the most just becomes another chore or job to deal with.  Communication totally breaks down.

Annabella Cristy (Anna to her friends, Bella to her husband) has been married for seventeen years.  She was once a part of a fun loving, passionate couple.  But now, her and her husband Jack are like two passing ships in the night.  They barely have time for themselves, forget about intimacy in the bedroom.  Well, Anna and her friends have devised a plan to save their marriages.  They plan on turning their husbands’ poker game night into a group night seduction.  One on one couples with their significant others only, of course.

To Save a Marriage puts you into the shoes of Anna and Jack and allows you to see what their lives are like, their hopes, dreams, wishes, and fears.  The story takes place a few days before Christmas Eve, which happens to be their wedding anniversary.  This novella will leave you believing in marriage and the power of love.
