Country veterinarian Celia Gamble is in trouble. A misunderstanding from her past is rearing its ugly head and the only person she can turn to is Jonah Clarke—her family’s lawyer and, as it turns out, her brother’s best friend and her childhood crush. She always wanted Jonah to see her as a bona fide woman, but as a woman who’s being blackmailed for seducing a married man? Not on her life.
Jonah is happy to help Little CeeCee Gamble, if only she’d come clean about why she’s being blackmailed. But with his best friend Zach’s wedding on the horizon, and Zach’s fashionista fiancĂ©e Desiree giving CeeCee a makeover, the little duckling Jonah remembers is turning into a definite swan. And the unwritten law on sisters is clear—hands off. Jonah must resist or lose the only true family he’s ever known.

I'm super excited to have Roxanne Snopek stopping by the blog today. (Kim is bouncing up and down.) Hi Roxanne!!!! (Okay Kim. Breathe.) Welcome to Read Your Writes Book Reviews.
Kimmie, I’m delighted to be here! Talking with you is always such fun!
(I’m grinning like an idiot....) Resisting the Rancher is the fourth and final book in the series. Please tell me about it.
Happy to! RtR is the story of an impulsive and highly-defended young woman named Celia who stumbles innocently into a situation that could ruin her professionally – and possibly destroy her family’s ranch as well. She’s forced to ask for help from Jonah, her brother’s best friend and the man she’s had a crush on since childhood. Unfortunately, like everyone else, he still thinks of her as the kid-sister who hasn’t grown up yet. Celia Gamble was introduced in His Reluctant Rancher (she’s the much younger sister of Zach Gamble) during a very difficult time in her life. She was, naturally, not very likeable at the time. This book tells her story and I think by the end, she’ll have stolen your heart completely and you’ll love her just as much as I do!
Unlike a lot of people, I didn’t hate Celia in His Reluctant Rancher. I think I understood where she was going from. But, I guess my question should have been, are you going to make me cry again with this book? I mean, you made me cry with Three River Ranch and His Reluctant Rancher.
Oh, I dearly hope so! [Insert evil laugh here] Jonah and Celia both have some very difficult challenges to face and I found myself clutching my heart a few times over the course of the journey. I hope you connect with them the same way.
I loved them as a couple. What was it like for you to write the final sentence to Resisting the Rancher and closing the book on this wonderful series?
A little weird, I’ve got to say! There’s many more stories I could write about the people of Lutherton, Montana. But there was a real sense of completion with this book as well. And I dearly love the closing scene of this book, if I say so myself!
Oh...I loved the closing scene. It completely left me smiling. From the series who's your favorite hero and heroine and why? (They don't have to be a couple.)
Oh, for such a sweetie, you ask mean questions! ;) Carson Granger, from Three River Ranch, is pretty tough to beat. A mustang-saving cowboy with a tortured past and a heart of gold… mm. He was also my first hero and you know what they say about your first! And I loved writing nurse-midwife Sabrina Becker from Fake FiancĂ©, Real Revenge. In another life, I could have been a midwife. (I could never have her luscious long blond hair, but oh well.)
I LOVE Bliss and Blythe. Those two women are so full of great life quotes, advice and inspirational speeches. Does Roxanne Snopek the woman actually come up with those great motivation speeches in real life?
In real life, I’m either a) paralyzed by the knowledge that I’m likely to shove my foot way down my own throat, if I open my mouth or b) babbling uncontrollably due to nerves or excess caffeine. I’m motivational only in a cautionary-tale kind of way. Plus, I have three grown daughters, so I’ve learned first-hand the pitfalls and minefields of advice-giving. However, I hope to get over all this once I’m as old as Bliss and Blythe and be just as loveable and obnoxious as they are!
I know you're deep into doing landscaping for this summer. But, what can I...sorry, readers expect next from you?
Ah yes, my twenty-year yard project has gotten booted into high-gear in preparation for our oldest daughter’s garden wedding this summer. I’m so excited for this! But you know I can’t ignore the stories bubbling up inside me. I’m currently working on a brand-new series for Bliss starting in 2015, plus a completely separate project that I can’t announce just yet and will hopefully be coming out this fall.
I’m TOTALLY excited right now. I’m looking forward to your next books. Thank you so much for taking the time to answer some questions for me!!!!
You’re more than welcome! I’ll chat with you anytime, hon!
Oh my GOSH!!! Roxanne Snopek called me “hon”. In case you don’t already know this, I’m a BIG fan of Roxanne. I’ve actually been know to blush at just the mention of her name.
You will also be able to see my other reviews from the Three River Ranch Series.
Roxanne Snopek has been writing professionally for more than two decades and her work has appeared in publications varying from The Vancouver Sun and Reader’s Digest to newsletters for Duke, Cornell and Tufts Universities. She’s done corporate copywriting on topics ranging from pet food for Iams/Eukanuba, to employee profiles for VersaCold to air-conditioner maintenance for Home Depot. (That’s right. Air conditioner maintenance.)
But she’s also had a bunch of other stuff published, including one mystery novel, a couple of literary short stories and a non-fiction series. One summer, she wrote video game dialogue and narrative for Silicon Sisters Interactive, a project that combined her two favourite genres – mystery and romance – with the world of casual gaming.
In 2012 she sold her first romance novel to Entangled Publishing. THREE RIVER RANCH made the Barnes & Noble Top Ten list, The Amazon Top 100 list and is now the foundation of a multi-book series. Recently, the first three books sold to France.
