Feature & Giveaway ~ JUST MY TYPE by Synithia Williams

Janiyah Henderson may be an adult, but her dad doesn’t see it that way. Granted, she’s enjoying her post-college life of little-to-no responsibility, but when her dad announces at a family meeting that she can’t handle working a “real job”, there’s only one thing to do: land a desk job and prove him wrong. When her brother’s best friend, Fredrick Jenkins, needs a new assistant, she knows she’s the perfect candidate. So what if she’s had a crush on the conservative accountant since she was nine? She’s the last woman Freddy would fall for.

But Fredrick is far from impervious to Janiyah’s charms. Though he can’t help but be attracted to her, he knows Janiyah is more interested in eating his cereal and teasing him than viewing him as more than the good guy next door. When he offers her the job, he can’t imagine her giving up her late mornings and colorful outfits for 8:00 a.m. meetings and pantyhose for too long. But as Janiyah excels as his employee, he fears he’s in danger of falling hard for a woman he shouldn’t care for.

Pretty soon the attraction they’ve tried to ignore boils to the surface. And after Fredrick shows Janiyah the man behind the numbers, she’s ready to show him that she’s just the type of woman he needs.

The seconds ticked by. Any other man would do it, but he wouldn’t. She lowered her gaze and tried to step away. He didn’t let her go. Her eyes lifted to his and she seriously forgot to breathe. Hunger blazed fiercely from him. Without a word, he pulled her against the hardness of his chest and brought his mouth down on hers.
In all her fantasies Freddy’s kisses were slow, hesitant, easy, but this wasn’t. It was fast, straightforward, and demanding. His fingers cupped the back of her head and angled it to the side in sync with his tongue thrusting past her lips. She moaned when his other hand squeezed her butt before trailing down to the back of her thigh. Lifting her leg, he pushed her against the wall. He boldly drove his considerable erection into the trembling juncture of her thighs. Her breasts, heavy and aching for his touch, were crushed against the unyielding muscles of his chest.
Her body burned from the inside out. She wrapped her arms around his neck. But it wasn’t enough. She needed to touch him. Her hand lowered to the hem of his shirt. He grabbed her wrist and pinned her hand over her head against the wall.
Excitement raced down her spine. She moved her other hand. He jerked that one above her head as well. Her leg around his waist tightened, pulling him closer. She gyrated her hips against him.
He took both of her hands in one of his. The other trailed lightly down past her cheek and neck to softly palm the swell of her breast. His caress was hesitant compared to the direct nature of his kiss. She moaned against the fullness of his lips. He was driving her crazy: caressing but not quite gripping the weight of her breast, slightly rubbing her beaded nipple, but holding back from giving it the full attention she craved.
Just as quickly as it started he ended it. He jerked his head up to stare into her eyes.
His hand fell away from her breast. Their ragged breathing mingled as they stood entwined. Her pulse pounded where his thumb pressed against her wrist.
She stared at him with wonder. Guys like Freddy didn’t kiss like that. They didn’t overwhelm you and make you want to tear their clothes off and have sex against a wall.
“There. I’ve kissed you,” he said in a desire thickened voice.
