The fact that their family is about to get bigger is even more exciting, even if Skye is dealing with morning sickness—and trying to hide the news from her ever-meddling mother, May.
But Skye quickly comes crashing down from cloud nine when the body of one of her coworkers, science teacher and volleyball coach Blair Hucksford, is found in the school swimming pool. The troublesome trainer was on the bad side of almost everyone on staff and many of the girls on her team, leaving Skye to sort through a huge roster of suspects. Now she must figure out which wronged party was mad enough to kill, and quickly—before someone else in town gets bumped off. . . .

Nothing like a meddling mama. lol.
ReplyDeleteLOL. This totally sounds like Skye is going to have her hands full.
DeleteI like cozy mysteries because they are well-written, interesting stories that are not overly bloody and graphic. I think I would leave the sleuthing to the professionals in real life!

I have to agree with you, I would have to leave the sleuthing to someone else. I would be that BFF who's like, "We should leave now and call the police. Why are we looking for clues? Don't you know people get killed, nosing around?"
DeleteI am a big fan of Scumble River and it embodies things I like about cozies. The small town, connected family, & good secondary characters.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like a really good series. I just hate having to start a series so far behind. While I may not be missing anything, by not reading the previous books, I would feel as if I was.
DeleteBut I do have to admit, I would LOVE to know how this one turns out.
I enjoy cozy mysteries, as they are fun & not gory or too suspenseful...........
ReplyDeletethank you for the giveaway..........
Hey Cyn,
DeleteI like cozies, because I don't get scared reading them. I don't wake up in the middle of the night, being afraid to sleep. Yeah, I've done that before. Good luck with the giveaway.
