Fans of Alice Clayton, Karina Halle, Emma Chase, and Tara Sivec will enjoy this hilarious and naughty, full-length, stand-alone, cliffhanger free, m/f contemporary erotic romance novel from New York Times Bestselling Author Avery Aster.

At thirty-three, Warner Truman is one of the richest men on the planet, a spa mogul who buys and sells resorts at will. He holds powerful executives’ careers in his well-groomed hands. Nothing is beyond Warner’s reach…until he meets her.

Stunning, tantalizing and perverse, Taddy Brill captivates Warner’s carnal desire like no woman he’s ever met. A self-made millionaire, Taddy is tougher than steel, more brilliant than diamonds and, at twenty-seven, she’s never depended on a man for anything…until she meets him.

The more Taddy plays with Warner’s affections, driving him to erotic heights, the more she is confronted by a dark past. Before she can love him, Taddy must meet her worst fears head-on or risk losing it all, including herself.

REVIEW
Taddy Brill grew up in an affluent family.  She had rich neighbors and all of the finer things in life.  All of that changed when her father discovered that she was not his child and that her mother had an affair.  In order to keep her lavish lifestyle, Taddy’s mother opted to send  thirteen-year-old Taddy away to boarding school and basically tossed her aside.  At some point, Taddy realized that she was on her own so she decided to emancipate herself from her parents and moved on with her life.  She made some questionable decisions in order to fund her college education and later created a successful PR Firm.  Of course, there was still a void in her life that she convinced herself would never get filled.  Along comes billionaire hotel developer Warner Truman and everything changes.  Warner grew up with a loving family and was his own success story. Taddy and Warner meet by accident and have no idea who the other one really is but they have an instant connection that’s broken by Warner’s conniving ex-fiancee.

To be frank, Unscrupulous was as erotic as they come.  Note that there was way more talk than action though.  I was more than halfway through the book before anyone actually got it on.  Considering the genre, that was disappointing.  I did like the overall ebb and flow of the book, as well as the characters.  Taddy and Warner were very likable and came across to be refreshingly comfortable inside their own skin.  Taddy has some crazy female friends that substituted for her hoity toity parents and family.  Warner is an upstanding guy that does some admirable philanthropic endeavors as tribute to the wife that he lost to cancer.  When the clothes come off, the thermostat breaks.  Taddy and Warner are an X-Rated pair but they also truly complete each other.  Of course, there is the usual angst thanks to their baggage but they get their happily ever after.

Unscrupulous is the first book in the Manhattanites series, so there is much more to read about Taddy’s friends.  I’m sure that they all have their own intriguing stories considering how wild they are.  At some point, I just may have to catch up with them.
