When your heart makes a wish, even impossible dreams can come true

After years of working for my family’s business, I’m finally back in college and ready to chase my dream of becoming a perfumer. It seems like the stars are all aligning when Chancellor College invites a preeminent French fragrance expert to speak at a symposium. Everything is working out just right, as long as I can continue to ignore my growing feelings for a certain hippie beekeeper. That, it seems, is turning out to be easier said than done.

The elders sent me on a mission to Chancellor to help Alice, owner of the local bagel shop, find true love. So far? Well, not so good. The bees and I have to double up our efforts if we have any hope of helping our girl find the road to happiness. While I know Alice should be my priority one, my heart, however, seems to have a mind of its own. If I could just get Viola Hunter out of my mind, I could focus on my task. That, it seems, is turning out to be easier said than done.

Lose yourself in Poppy Lawless' enchanting town of Chancellor, a magical place where fairy tales can come true and happily ever afters always reign supreme.

The Bee Charmer is a stand-alone novella and part of The Chancellor Fairy Tales, a series of romantic fairy tales for adults. This novel can be read on its own, but you'll get the most enjoyment from this series if the works are read in order.

Talk about a wonderful accidental surprise.  I came across Poppy Lawless by accident.  I read The Cupcake Witch and couldn’t get enough.  The Chancellor Fairy Tale series is magical and one that makes you want to immerse yourself into the town and the lives of the people who live there.

I became intrigued and possibly fell hard for Rayne in The Cupcake Witch.  I couldn't wait for his story.  Admittedly, his heroine wasn't who I thought it would be.  I was hoping for Alice but I see why she wasn’t selected.

Rayne is a fairy godfather who is also a beekeeper.  He actually has the ability to communicate with bees.  He arrived in Chancellor a couple of years ago to help Alice find her true love.  Unfortunately, he hasn’t found “the one”.  Now his attention is being diverted by Viola Hunter, his best friend Horatio's sister.  Viola is finally coming into her own.  She’s returned to college and is about to embark on an opportunity of a lifetime, to further the career she’s only dreamed of.  With so much going on in her life, she isn’t expecting love to actually find her.

The Bee Charmer has two love connections going on within it.  It appears Rayne just might be successful in finally finding “the one” for Alice.  You also have Rayne and Viola finally admitting their feelings for each other.  I liked the story but.....I would have preferred these two love connections to have their own separate books and not be incorporated together.  The story ends with a happy for now, promising happy ever afters down the line.  It definitely leaves the door open for anything to happen in the next book.  I'm looking forward to seeing what else Poppy has in store for us.
