When a momzilla crosses a frustrated bride-to-be, chaos ensues…
Nancy Blake has dreamed of her daughter having a fairy tale wedding fit for a Princess since Lilly was born. However, Lilly and Trevor want to be married soon and with as little fanfare as possible. How will Nancy be able to carry out her plans for the wedding to end all weddings, you ask? She enlists the services of Rose Knight, owner of The Rose Chalet, San Francisco's premier wedding venue.
But as the big day approaches, tension between mother and daughter escalates, nearing the point of no return. Will they be able work out their differences before Lilly and Trevor walk down the aisle? Or, will the bride and groom make a run for Vegas to be married by an Elvis impersonator?
Warning: This fairy tale contains an overwhelmed bride one-step away from wearing prison orange; a prince charming who sticks his foot in his mouth; and a momzilla who continually forgets…she’s not the bride.
The Wedding Chaos is based on the wonderful characters found in Lucy Kevin’s Four Weddings and a Fiasco series.
REVIEW
The Wedding Chaos marks the fourth book I’ve read in the May 2016 Four Weddings and a Fiasco Kindle World series collection. By far, this is my FAVORITE book. It’s also the first book from debut author Isabel Micheals.
I loved this closed door romance from the very beginning and was immediately drawn in. Lilly Blake and Trevor McIntosh met on the first day of college and were pretty much college sweethearts from the very beginning. Now with college behind them and their careers in front of them, Trevor is finally ready to ask Lilly to be his for the rest of their lives. Trevor manages to pull off one of the sweetest most romantic surprise proposals of all time.
Unfortunately, Lilly’s happiness about her upcoming wedding is doused at every turn when her usually kind, loving, compassionate mother becomes a Momzilla from the great beyond. From the engagement party, to the attire, to the flowers, to the cake and menu, Nancy Blake has a very precise idea of what this wedding is supposed to be like. Needless to say, all of Nancy’s ideas are way different from what Lilly wants. When one battle becomes one too many, this wedding is put in jeopardy. While things seem to be falling apart around her, Trevor remains Lilly’s anchor and is steadfast in his love and devotion.
I loved all the characters in The Wedding Chaos. I love even more the possibility of there being a related book featuring Lilly’s best friend Mac and her brother Jared. It would also be nice if there was a story on Trevor’s brother Brodie. I really liked this story and I’m looking forward to more books by Isabel.

Still need to read this one! Great review, sounds good, especially if you want to read more about other characters!
ReplyDeleteIt was. I did get a little upset with Lilly for always saying she was sorry, when she had every right to be upset. But overall, it was a really good book. I can't wait to read A Witch Possessed. It's another Kindle World novella.
DeleteThanks for the beautiful review, Kim. I'm over the moon that you're enjoying the characters floating around in my head. In regards to Mac and Jared's story. I am working on it and it's titled The Wedding Chase. There will also be several other stories in this series, including Brodie's so hang in there. I promise you'll get to meet all of them and learn how they find their Happily Ever After.
ReplyDeleteThanks again and have an awesome weekend.
Isabel
