The second book in a New York Times bestselling author Denise Grover Swank's Bachelor Brotherhood series!

Never settle down. Ever.

Workaholic Lanie Rogers lives a completely nomadic lifestyle. Her job keeps her on the move, and relationships are a complication she doesn't need. That is, until she meets Mr. Tall, Dark, and Hotness at a pre-wedding party. Complicated? Maybe. But lately, Lanie's life has been missing a little something---and sexy playboy Tyler Norris offers something she definitely can't refuse.

Tyler has always been a little too popular with women for his own good. Ever since he and his buddies vowed to remain bachelors, Tyler figured he was safe from temptation. Lanie and her gorgeous brown eyes are about to prove him so, so wrong. With one kiss, the heat is intense. After one night, it's pure combustion. It was supposed to be a no-strings fling---until these two commitment-phobes each discover the one undeniable exception to their rule.

Hi Denise.  Welcome to Read Your Writes Book Reviews.  How are you?
I’m great! Thanks for having me!
You’re welcome.  Can you tell us about Lanie Rogers and Tyler Norris?
Lanie and Tyler are both committed to themselves—Lanie to her career and Tyler has ran from commitment like it’s the Black Plague. Neither have had a relationship for a while, Lanie because she’s thrown herself into her job and Tyler because he decided to try commitment and ended up issuing a restraining order. He and his friends united in a Bachelor Brotherhood and have sworn off women. But when Lanie and Tyler meet in a musty garage at a couples’ wedding shower, sparks ignite.
What do you love about Lanie and Tyler?
I love that they are both so confident in themselves that they have no problem with the other’s commitment to their high stress jobs. I also love that they just have fun together. Both need a little levity in their lives.
Which character do you think was the most difficult and why?
Lanie because she’s a strong independent woman and readers sometimes have trouble connecting to characters like that. I had to make sure she had enough soft edges without making her weak.
Can you tell us about your favorite scene from the book?
That’s hard because I have several favorites, but one of them is when Laine shows up for a pre-wedding photo shoot and arrives pretty tipsy after accidentally drinking a half bottle of wine. Her heel gets caught in the lawn of the Atkins-Nelson Art Gallery and when she tries to free it, it flies through the air and hits Tyler in the forehead, giving him a bleeding gash.
Oh my gosh! That sounds funny and horrible at the same time.  What do you think Lanie and Tyler would say was the best place to spend a romantic evening?
They both work hard and while they like to go out, their favorite place is to just stay home at Tyler’s condo that overlooks the Country Club Plaza in Kansas City.
Sounds perfect.  Denise, thank you so much for stopping by today and answering some of my questions.
Thank you so much for having me!

New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Denise Grover Swank was born in Kansas City, Missouri and lived in the area until she was nineteen. Then she became a nomadic gypsy, living in five cities, four states and ten houses over the course of ten years before she moved back to her roots. She speaks English and smattering of Spanish and Chinese, which she learned through an intensive Nick Jr. immersion period. Her hobbies include witty (in her own mind) Facebook comments and dancing in her kitchen with her children. (Quite badly if you believe her offspring.) Hidden talents include the gift of justification and the ability to drink massive amounts of caffeine and still fall asleep within two minutes. Her lack of the sense of smell allows her to perform many unspeakable tasks. She has six children and hasn't lost her sanity. Or so she leads you to believe.
