Series: SWAT
Genre: Paranormal Romance
Release Date: December 5, 2017

She’s all the wolf he’ll ever need...

When SWAT Officer Max Lowry meets Lana Mason, he falls fast and hard. He’s positive she’s The One. And Max’s favorite part? Lana’s a wolf shifter too, so they can skip the awkward reveal and head straight to the happily ever after. There’s just one problem: Lana doesn’t know that she’s a werewolf.

To make matters worse, hunters with intent to kill have tracked Lana to Dallas. Max has to figure out how to keep Lana safe, show her who and what she really is—and just how much she means to him.

Wolf Hunger is the seventh book in Paige Tyler’s SWAT: Special Wolf Alpha Team Series. I have read all of the other books so I am very familiar with all of the returning team members. You don’t have to read the other books to understand this paranormal series but it does make things easier to follow. The common theme throughout each story revolves around one member of the team finding the one person that they are destined to be with for the rest of their lives.

Wolf Hunger focuses on team member Max Lowry who lost his entire family due to an abusive father. He carries that baggage every where he goes. Max meets the love his life, Lana Mason at a law enforcement event. She just so happens to be the daughter of the Deputy Chief so Max has his work cut out for him when it comes to disapproving dads. To add insult to injury, Lana is also a werewolf and she doesn’t even know it. Unfortunately for Lana, there is a group of wolf hunters who do. It would be an understatement to say that all of these things, make their courtship a little difficult. As with all of the other SWAT books, “The One” will not be denied. Max and Lana will overcome a lot of obstacles to be together.

The best aspect of these books, relate to family. The SWAT team is a pack. The threat of wolf hunters has made the pack grow tremendously. There is an awesome array of werewolves. In reading these books, you learn about the three different type of werewolves. Plus, you also see how hard they work to keep everyone alive and together. Wolf Hunger was filled with a lot of heart and is a good example of family. Max’s past plays a large rule in how he tries to assist another family coping with abuse. Not everything is easily resolved and there is definitely fallout. The journey to happily-ever-after never comes easy for this SWAT team but they always persevere. I remain a huge fan and am always impressed with how the Paige Tyler is able to continue to spawn one interesting book after the other, while still staying true to the core message. I look forward to what happens next.
