  1. I start my shopping the day of the after-Christmas sales. The problem with that is I forget where I put things as I buy them when it's time to wrap and distribute gifts. My husband won't let me decorate until the day after Christmas, but I'm sneaky. I hang up Christmas dish towels and potholders. Cookie jar is next. Then my red candles. You get it...one by one.

    1. Pamela,

We usually put up decorations the day after Thanksgiving. Last year, my husband suggested we put up inside decorations November 1st. I thought something was wrong with him. I actually thought it was too early. But then a week later I saw an article saying that putting them up earlier made people feel better or something. This year, we're putting up decorations as soon as possible.

Oh, and since it's Christmas in July, my husband and daughter put up a small tree in our living room, to make me feel better.

    1. I usually try to start my Christmas shopping about this time of year, but because of one financial setback after another, I haven't been able to do anything.
