If you aren't familiar with Naima Simone and her writing, Slow Dance at Rose Bend gives you a really good idea of what her writing style is like. Cherrie Moore is strong, independent, sassy, snarky, and a little vulnerable. I might have a small girl crush on her. She's a plus-size woman who rides a motorcycle and is comfortable in her own skin. Maddox Holt is charming. He's an alpha but in my opinion, doesn't show his true alpha tendencies very often. He knows what he wants. He doesn't play games.
Their chemistry is off the charts. Their love affair is quick and intense. Honestly, it's pretty amazing what Naima was able to put into a 41-page novella. I loved Cherrie and Maddox from the start. Slow Dance at Rose Bend had me glued to the pages from beginning to end. The title and the book cover definitely fit this story.
