The only rule: no commitment. But the Christmas spirit might change all the rules...

From Harlequin Desire: Luxury, scandal, desire--welcome to the lives of the American elite.

Hot Holiday Fling by Joss Wood will definitely find its way into your heart. The story is full of main and secondary characters who are all great and all desperately trying to overcome the past.

Hunter Sheridan and Adie Ashby-Tate are two people who were hurt badly by the people they loved, who were supposed to love them back. Adie didn't feel emotional or nurturing love from her parents. In fact, they blamed her for their marriage breaking up. She doesn't trust her feelings when it comes to love. In her younger years, she spent a lot of time being with the wrong men in an attempt to get attention, validation, and love. Christmas is the worst time of year for her because even as a child, she always spent it alone while her parents were off on separate vacations. Hunt grew up in foster homes because of his mother's issues. His marriage failed and he lost his best friend, who was more like a brother to him. He believes that people aren't going to always be in your life so why even try to make a connection with them.

The two are brought together by their mutual friend, Kate. Hunt is a former baseball player turned millionaire business owner and influencer. Adie owns a concierge service that caters to the uber-wealthy. She’s based in Manhattan but wants to expand to London. To do so, she needs to get the word out about what she can offer clients in Europe. Adie and Kate both believe Hunt is the person who can get her name out and give her the best exposure.

Upon meeting, the two have an instant attraction to one another. They agree to a one-night stand that turns into three of the happiest weeks of their lives. But the past gets in their way and they are forced to decide if they want to let go of the past or live for the present and future.

I don’t know if I’ve said this about Joss before, but she is a master at plot/character development and words. She managed to bring two people together who desperately needed love, acceptance, and family. She stripped both Adie and Hunt bare and allowed you to see who they were to their very core. Joss shows you the good in characters that they don’t see in themselves or even know exist within them.
