This Christmas, will they finally receive the miracle they’ve been yearning for?

Hannah and Paul Wagner both grew up in Silver Bay, California. They love everything about the small town they call home, especially at Christmas when the air turns crisp and the residents’ joy is more contagious than usual.

After waiting years to adopt their precious daughter, Abby, and with a successful real estate business, Hannah and Paul can’t think of anything more they want in life or for Christmas. They finally have everything they've wished for. And yet…will their ongoing hope for more children become their Christmas miracle?

Lara Van Hulzen is a new to me author. When I came across Hannah's Hope I was excited to read it. I personally don't come across or read a lot of romances where the couple is already married. I love the idea of having a married couple and seeing them go through life's ups and downs together.

Hannah and Paul Wagner both grew up in Silver Bay, California. They were high school sweethearts who married after Paul graduated college and then opened their own real estate agency together. The two are and were inseparable. After trying for years to have a child, they finally went through the tedious process of adoption and now have a two-and-a-half-year-old little girl named Abby. Both are busier than ever raising their daughter and working. This leaves little to no time for the intimacy they once shared.

Hannah's Hope shows the real struggles couples go through trying to adjust from going from a two to a three-person household. The story focuses mainly on Hannah. Unfortunately, I didn't make a connection with Hannah. I viewed her as mostly having a pity party for herself throughout the entire book. However, there is no doubt that she and Paul really and truly love each other. You can see that love coming through the pages. Hannah's Hope is the fourth book in the Silver Bay series. It is a short standalone read that seems to lean towards being faith-based, though there is a little closed-door romance. Past characters, who are friends of the couple, make appearances and give little updates on their lives.

  1. I'm glad you enjoyed this book too. I really think the previous books in the series need to be read first in order to understand the characters.

    1. I thought Hannah and Paul weren't really mentioned in the previous books. But honestly, my not connecting with Hannah and the way I felt about her in this book wouldn't have changed if I read the previous books and she was in them.

    2. I didn't get to read the previous books. It just felt like we were supposed to know them, so I assumed they were mentioned in previous books.
