Bella Mason makes her Harlequin Presents debut with Awakened by the Wild Billionaire. This was a story where I wish I had endless time and the right words to express just how good it was. But I’m not sure I do, and I’m getting ahead of myself.

In Awakened by the Wild Billionaire, shy, always does what is expected of her Emma Brown meets playboy CEO Alexander Hastings at a masquerade ball. For Alexander “Alex” the attraction is instantaneous. While Emma is also attracted to him, she knows there is no way Lord Hastings, future Earl, could be attracted to her when her older sister Lauren makes a play for him. To Alex’s credit and Lauren’s dismay, he chooses to ask Emma to dance. And soon realizes he doesn’t want the night to end.

Alex is all about one-night stands, not getting close and personal, and absolutely no relationships. However, for the life of him, he can’t get enough of Emma, in or out of the bedroom. Emma isn’t one for one-night stands, but being with Alex makes her want to have fun and step out of her comfort zone. What started out as a night of fun turns real, with real feelings neither wanted nor expected.

I loved Awakened by the Wild Billionaire because I viewed it as drama free with two amazing lead characters that captured my heart immediately, with a couple of secondary characters I wouldn’t mind seeing getting their own story. Yes, Emma and Alex each have deep-rooted issues with their families where they aren’t loved or cared for. But they themselves didn’t have the dark moment you often see in romances. Alex and Emma prove that family is more than just blood. I loved watching them be together and helping each other. I especially loved watching them fall in love.

Awakened by the Wild Billionaire is definitely a bookshelf keeper and a book I would probably read again. I am so looking forward to more books by Bella.
