Sienna Carmichael and Roman Ashford have been friends since the age of twelve, when Roman moved from Iowa to live with his aunt in California, after the death of his parents. Actually, Roman and Sienna’s twin brother Slade became friends first and she usually just tagged along. The trio are backdoor neighbors, with Roman usually hanging out at the Carmichael home, as an added family member.
Just days before the start of senior year, a fire breaks out at Sienna’s all-girls private school, forcing her to attend Kent Academy, the co-ed private school attended by Slade, Roman, and her boyfriend, Broderick. Being the new kid at school is always hard, but for Sienna, things are worse when classes she wants to take aren’t offered and she’s made the laughing stock of school because she’s the founding member and president of the Purity Club. Things continue to get complicated for Sienna when she starts to see Broderick and Roman in whole new lights.
I loved Homecoming & Hookups. Roman and Sienna were easy to love. Their back and forth banter while designed at times to irritate each other, was fun to watch. Each is so much more than they reveal to the world and those around them. Their feelings for each emerge authentic. This was a story I truly did not want to see end. It should be noted that the story mentions consensual encounters and addiction.
