Amanda Cinelli is a new to me author. She’s been on my reading list for a while now. I’ve even purchased a couple of her books. Not gonna lie, seeing the book cover of Pregnant in the Italian’s Palazzo on social media and the author’s quick point teasers of: mile high one night stand, plus size lingerie designer heroine, reclusive Italian hero with a secret, unexpected pregnancy, Italy, and neurodivergent love had me wanting to read the story even more. Without a doubt, I was not disappointed.

Pregnant in the Italian’s Palazzo is the third book in The Greeks’ Race to the Altar series. This is a standalone read but references the almost wedding of Priya Davidson Khan and Xander Mytikas. The premise of the series is three half-brothers are in a race to get married and stay married for a year. The first to do so will receive the entire estate of their late father Greek billionaire Zeus Mytikas.

Aria Dane has flown from London to New York to attend the rushed wedding of her best friend Priya to Xander, a man she has only recently met. But when Priya discovers something about Xander she runs away from him, the wedding, and everything, leaving Aria stranded in New York without her passport and luggage. Nysio Bacchetti has come to New York from Italy to get a look at the brothers he never knew he had. When he sees Aria on the street, appearing distressed, he offers to help her get back to London on his private jet. The two share intimate moments on the trip back to London, never expecting to see each other again.

Aria is a 31-year-old fashion buyer for a large London department store. She also designs her own plus-size clothes. She has ADHD which has made her an outcast in her calm, organized family. Nysio has grown up knowing that he would one day take over his family’s Italian dynasty. When he was younger, he was often put in the public eye and drew a lot of media attention. As a result, Nysio is a recluse who suffers from social anxiety. He isn’t good being around people, but something about Aria is a soothing balm.

I really loved the characters of Aria and Nysio. I loved that Amanda put their neurodiversity front and center and didn’t hide it. Aria and Nysio are passionate. They challenge each other and at the same time are supportive of one another.
