Allison Macclesfield wants—no needs—to be a rock star, and what better decade to do it in than the ‘80s? Music is her passion. She’s got her future mapped out. Move to New York, find a job, audition to be lead singer in a band.

Plans don’t include giving it all up for Peter Shepard, the sexiest guy she’s ever met. He’s nothing like the guys she’s known. Peter’s life is full of mystery, and though they believe they’re a perfect match, she can have him or her rock star dreams. But not both.

REVIEW
First Match marks my first time reading a book from Lynne Silver’s Coded for Love Series.  Oh my gosh.  My heart was breaking and I was crying.  I simply fell in love with these two characters.

Peter Shepard is the first of his generation.  He’s the product of his parents who were a perfect DNA match to breed a genetically superior soldier, with a little scientific help.  At the age of 20, he finally gets to leave his military based home and go out into the real world where he meets and falls in love with Allison Macclesfield, who's 18.  The two have a world wind courtship that is cut short by Peter's secret military life.

First Match allows you to see some of the events that make Peter Shepard into the person he is today.  It is a story of finding love, following your dreams, and discovering what it truly means to love someone and make a sacrifices.  If I didn’t already want to read this series, this book would completely have me wanting to read it.
