Zac Elliott is the team captain of the Atlantic City Hustlers and is one of the most eligible bachelors in the city. Heather Ryan is the daughter of the team owner. There’s an unwritten rule that players don’t date Heather. After ignoring their feelings for a long time, the two start a secret relationship which turns out to be more than they bargained for when the media finds out. Too bad the heart knows what the heart wants, whether the mind agrees or not.
Veronica Forand and Susan Scott Shelley have teamed up to bring readers an enjoyable forbidden love story in Flirting on Ice. I was hooked from the beginning of the story. I became frustrated when other people had to put their two cents in. And I was shocked by the actions of others. While the story was good, I just would have liked it to be a little longer. For me, that’s a good sign. It means that I couldn’t get enough of Zac, Heather, and their love story.
Flirting on Ice is the first book in a new series from Veronica and Susan and I can’t wait for the next book. Hopefully, Alec will be the next player to find love.
