He's her first. He's her everything. He's her...stepbrother.

Kat has always been a good girl. She studies hard and never stays out too late. But when sitting in a pub on her birthday, she realizes she's a nineteen-year-old virgin who's never really lived. And she wants tonight to be the night that changes.

Then she sees him walk in. He's tall, dark, handsome, and straight out of her deepest fantasies. His voice makes her knees feel weak, and when he smiles, she imagines him doing wicked things to her in bed. From the look in his eyes, she knows he's imagining it too. So when he asks if he can walk her home, she hears herself whisper yes . . .

REVIEW
Step-brother romances are new to me.  In the past, I tended to not read them because the whole idea was taboo to me.  I read an excerpt of Forbidden somewhere and got the idea that it was different from other step-brother romances.  For that, I wanted to read the story.  Unlike other books of its kind, Forbidden is told in third person.  For me, I would have preferred first person.  I just think it would have allowed me to connect with the characters and get inside their heads better.

What I like about this story is that Katherine “Kat” and Tristan have no history together. They are just two people who meet like any other potential couple.  They don't have a whirlwind romance.  It’s a fight to even attempt to be together.  The two are from completely different worlds.  Kat is an innocent, shy nineteen-year-old American girl who has few friends and suffers abandonment issues.  Tristan is a twenty-five-year-old British aristocrat who is experienced.  He knows how to get the things he wants.  He just doesn't want the future being pressed upon him by his father, the Earl of Pembroke.

The two meet at a pub and Tristan becomes intrigued by Kat, who is unlike any woman he’s ever known.  They share an attraction as well as a connection.  Tristan is a silver tongued devil who had not only Kat but myself melting.  However, I didn't feel the overwhelming connection to them I would have liked.

Just as things are finally going good for them, they are each crushed with the knowledge that not only is Kat’s father dating Tristan’s mother, but the two are also recently engaged.  Forbidden ends with this face to face crushing discovery.  Next up is Seduction and I desperately want to know how this story will unfold.
