Interview & Giveaway ~ THE SEDUCTION OF KINLEY FOSTER by Lisa Wells

The Seduction of Kinley Foster (What Happens in Vegas, #15)
by: Lisa Wells
Series: What Happens in Vegas
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: May 9, 2016
Publisher: Entangled ~ Lovestruck

Librarian Kinley Foster wants to write erotic romance—the steamy, sexy, curl-your-toes kind of stuff. The problem? She desperately needs a little erotic inspiration. And at a romance convention in Vegas, she finds it...or rather him. The sizzlingly sexy guy who refused Kinley—and her virginity—when she was sixteen.
Now it's time for a little payback.
Literary agent Ian Thompson is a professional. Mentoring an aspiring author is one thing. Giving her a thorough and thoroughly satisfying sexy education is quite another. Especially when she's as stunning and deliciously curvaceous as Kinley. Yet Ian can't help himself when Kinley makes him a wager he can't resist. A wager that will tempt Ian to cross every professional—and every sensual—boundary in the book...

“Who are you calling?” Ian asked, giving her a lazy, seductive look.

The words he spoke barely registered. Probably because the way they sounded coming out of his mouth short-circuited her brain and super-charged her girly-parts.

His deep rumbly voice left her feeling naughty. Like scandal and sin were dancing on her soul.

Confused with her body’s betrayal, she glowered. “None of your business.”

“Calling your brother?”

She shrugged. Maybe she was calling her boyfriend. He didn’t now she didn’t have one. Unless her brother told him. “Maybe?”

Disappointment darkened his eyes. “I see you’re still a snitch.” He handed the suitcase to the driver, who stored it in the trunk, and opened the passenger door.

Her determination wavered. Damn him. Why should he be disappointed in her? “Whatever.” He was the bad guy. Not her. She dropped her phone in her purse.

“Thank you,” he said, in a voice that sounded sincere.

She rolled her eyes, not caring that the gesture was childish.

He motioned toward the open door to the backseat. “After you.”

Halfway in, she felt the sharp sting of his hand on her ass.

She inhaled sharply, scrambled the rest of the way in, and turned on him. “How dare you. You can’t just slap a woman’s a**. Especially one who despise you. What the hell—”

The sound of his laughter cut off her tirade, and she grimaced. Damn it. She’d reacted exactly the way he wanted. Just like when he used to pull her ponytail and she’d yelped.

Growing up, he’d been a master at riling her emotions. Not anymore. She was a grown woman, and her buttons were no longer so easily pushed.

He stuck his head in, an amused glint in his smug eyes. “You’ll find I dare a lot. And the swat was for insinuating I’m gay. And so what if I was?” He slid in beside her, scooting much closer than necessary. His shoulder touched her arm; his presence invaded her space.

Grown up Kinley resisted the urge to thump him. Besides, if she did, the dramatic action would be more for show. And she prided herself on not being a drama queen.

Truth was, she was semi-turned on by the alpha-male ass-slap.

Hi Lisa.  Welcome to Read Your Writes Book Reviews.  How are you?
I’m doing great. Wait. That’s not true. Actually, I’m a little scattered as I prepare for the release of my book. But, it’s a good kind of scattered. Thank you so much, for this interview. See, I should have led with the thank you instead of throwing it in as an afterthought. I tell you – I’m scattered. (smile)
That’s okay.  Tell me a little about your latest book from Entangled Lovestruck, The Seduction of Kinley Foster.

What do you love about Kinley Foster and Ian Thompson?
I love that they get a little naughty along the way to falling in love. A few of the scenes challenged my comfort zone.
What are some fun facts about The Seduction of Kinley Foster?
I was hired to write the book before I even wrote one word of the book. Entangled Publishing was looking for authors to be a part of their What Happens In Vegas Series, and I turned in a sample of my writing to be considered. A year later, I got the call. Nothing happens fast in the world of writing.
AND just a few moments ago, actor Adam Kaufman, the man who inspired the hero in The Seduction of Kinley Foster, and is mentioned in the opening scene, tweeted he was going to have to read my book. Drops the mic and swoons.
What’s your favorite part of a romance to write? (The beginning, the first meeting, first kiss, getting to know each other, first love scene, big fight, HEA or something else?)
I like writing the beginning because everything is fresh and exciting from a writer’s standpoint. The first kiss always throws me into a panic as I try to get the details just right.
I checked out your “Nine Things about Lisa Wells” on your website.  I was smiling and laughing the whole time.  Let’s talk about some of these nine things for a moment.  You like The Black List.  Have you checked out The Blindspot?  I try not to, but I’m always drawn in, when my family is watching.
I’ve not watched the Blindspot, but every time I see a commercial for it, I’m intrigued.  I’m glad you liked my Nine Things About Lisa Wells section. That is so sweet that you checked out my website ahead of time.
I wasn’t stalking.  It was strictly for research purposes. (smile) I have a rescued Husky and a rescued Mini-Husky.  They’re amazing. Sammy the Man (we just kept the name he already had) and Cade Logan (named from Samanthe Beck’s McCade brothers).  You’re rescued dog’s name is Shady.  How did you come up with the name?
She came to us with the name Kuder. Having worked in Education for many years, I know that Kuder is slang for vagina. No way was she keeping that name. She’s pitch black and a gift for my daughter for her 16th birthday.  I forget exactly how we settled on the name Shady, but we did. Love that dog!
It’s really cool you named a dog after a romance hero. I’ve not read about the McCade brothers.  Looks like my to-be-read pile is about to grow.
Oh wow.  A name change was definitely in order.  The McCade Brothers series is definitely a series to check out.  I loved all the brothers.  What’s next for you?
I have several more books I’m writing for Entangled Publishing. The next is titled: The Attraction of Adeline Rigby.  The third will be:  The Flirtation of Maggie Oliver. There’s a fourth in the works, but it’s yet to be titled. Of course, titles can change.
Lisa, thank you so much for taking the time to talk with me.  I’ve been told you are an author to watch.  I’m looking forward to reading this book.
I squealed when I read the part about being told I’m an author to watch. I hope you enjoy THE SEDUCTION OF KINLEY FOSTER. Thanks again for the interview.

You’re welcome.
