Jennifer Faye’s The Wedding Do-Over is a second chance romance featuring a couple who needed to spread their wings and be their own people before making a lifetime commitment to someone else.
Olivia Van Holsen and Michael Camden were college sweethearts and scheduled to marry before Michael called off the wedding only days before. Olivia fled from DC to San Francisco and struggled to start her own event planning business. Michael continued his workaholic life in New York until a near fatal car crash made him reassess his life.
Part of Michael’s new life plan is to reconnect with his California based half-brother and make amends with Olivia. To Michael’s surprise, his half-brother is getting married and wants him to be his bestman. Knowing what Olivia does for a living, Michael convinces the couple to use her to plan the wedding. It’s also his chance to spend time with Olivia, reconnecting as friends.
The Wedding Do-Over isn’t exactly an easy flowing romance. There are some bumps in the road for Michael and Olivia, including a character who isn’t exactly well-liked and a surprise or two. However, this is a good book to kick back and relax with.
