Letting go is easier said than done.

Sam Castleton has fame, houses all over the world, and one really big problem—he’s got an album due and he can’t write. All he wants is a quiet place to get his head straight. Dale, Georgia, seems like the perfect quiet spot to try to hear the music again and get some lyrics down on paper.

With her daughter’s paternal grandparents making a sudden appearance and the difficulties of running her own lodge and being a single mom, Faith Adams doesn’t have the time to worry about the mysterious stranger staying in one of her cottages, no matter how sexy he is.

Her newest guest may be surly, but his money is good, so she’s willing to overlook his surly nature. If only she could ignore the way he awakens a searing hunger in her…

Sometimes when you read a book you get more than you expected. That was definitely the case with Storming the Castle by Arianna Hart. Storming the Castle is the third book in the Dale series and is a standalone read. This was my first time reading Arianna and I only realized this was a series as I was putting my review together. The cover is what originally caught my attention. I read an excerpt and I wanted to read the story, thinking it was going to be fun and flirty. There are parts that are fun and flirty, but Storming the Castle has some serious, heart-tugging and heart-aching moments.

Sam Castle aka Sam Castleton is a hard rock rockstar in desperate need of a break. He’s a borderline alcoholic who doesn’t remember most of his days and nights. He needs new material for a new album but he hasn’t been able to write lyrics or music for awhile. With his last tour finally over, he insists on getting away from everything. Sam finds himself in smalltown Dale, Georgia, staying at Adams’ Hunting Lodge, attempting to blend in.

Faith Adams has had to pick herself up after a heart shattering tragedy and unthinkable discovery. For six years, Faith has been running the Adams’ Hunting Lodge and single-handedly taking care of her five-year-old daughter, Piper. Her main focus has been her daughter and making a decent living to take care of the two of them. Men have not been on her radar. That is, until Sam Castleton shows up. Faith’s life is about to get complicated very fast. After six years of hibernation, her body awakens at the sight of Sam. Plus, Piper’s grandparents who previously didn’t want to acknowledge her, now want custody.

Immediately, I liked the characters of Sam, Faith, and Piper. The secondary characters who have found love in the previous books were good as well. I loved that the story wasn’t predictable. I was sure that it was going to be. Faith and Sam are two characters who needed to overcome their past demons and insecurities. I loved watching them do just that, with the help of each other. They were both stronger and braver than they gave themselves credit for.

**I received a copy of this book from the publisher and voluntarily reviewed.**

The Dale Series:

Arianna Hart enjoys spending time with her family, reading anything she can get her hands on, and of course writing! She’d love to spend her days on a beach with a drink in one hand and a book in the other, but until she wins the lottery she’ll just have to settle for chasing her girls around the pool.
