From Wall Street Journal bestselling author Terri Osburn comes a steamy novella with lots of heat and heart.

There’s nothing like raging hormones, a heat wave, and a sexy younger man to throw a woman completely off kilter. Toss in sensual dreams and the subject of those dreams showing up at her front door, and Anna Robinson is definitely off kilter.

A repressed librarian resigned to her fate of spinsterhood, thirty-five year old Anna has no idea her new neighbor and dream-man, Max, has been having dreams of his own—with her as his co-star. When he shows up at her door asking for a favor that includes sharing dinner, how can she possibly refuse?

Dinner turns into so much more and in one incredible weekend, a new, more confident Anna is born. But when Max makes a confession that brings their passionate affair to an abrupt end, her newfound strength is tested. Can she stand on her own or will she once again return to her former self? She’ll have to let him go to find out.

I'm a fan of Terri Osburn and have read almost all of her books. I heard Awakening Anna was different from her other stories, but honestly, until I started reading I forgot that. Wow, you go girl! Terri definitely stepped out of her comfort zone, writing a brazen book with an alpha hero.

Anna Robinson is a librarian and head of the Happy Hearts book club. The group tends to read romance novels, some steamier than others. Anna is your classic librarian who fantasizes about stepping out of her comfort zone. Unfortunately for her, she’s been told her bedroom skills are lacking. For weeks, Anna has been dreaming of her new upstairs neighbor, YA author Max Marshall.

When a storm hits, knocking out power, the two spend a passionate night together which in turn awakens the inner vixen hidden in Anna. Neither expects their time together to be so good or their time together to end so soon.

Terri has written characters who are likable from the start. They bring passion to each other. I know this is a short story, but I would have preferred for this the be a full-length novel, with more background on Anna and Max.
