I loved these two because they are so tethered to their pasts and present, but are desperately afraid to break free. They’re afraid to be vulnerable and open up. I loved that they had a willingness and desire to fight for the other. Achilles has this great ability to read Mycah and situations around him. People tend to look down on him or simply disregard him, but he is so much more than he shows the world. Achilles is a good man, who doesn’t know his worth. It takes Mycah and his unborn child to make him discover all that he truly has. These two were really perfect for each other.
I can’t wait to read the third book in this series, The Perfect First Date, featuring younger brother Kenan. He is a charmer and he knows it. I have a feeling there is so so much more to him than he allows people to see, even his brothers. His story is a friends-to-lovers/fake relationship romance. I’m definitely expecting it to be fun. Plus, I think his older brothers will have something to say about him falling in love.
