I got nominated!!!!

Fellow Blogger and Author, Maggie Thom nominated me for the Liebster Award.

It’s just something quirky (which fits me) and fun and helps connect bloggers and readers.  It’s kinda of like a get to know me session.

Okay, so you’re probably asking what is a Liebster Award.  I know I did.  And I will be totally and completely honest here, I got the award before but I had NO idea what it was.  And honestly, I didn’t even know who the person who sent the award to me was.  It was thrown into the comments section of one of my posts and I thought it was spam, since I was getting spammed a lot during the time I received it.  Sorry, Lynelle Clark.

So I did a little research after I got this one from Maggie.  I found one blog that attempted to do some research.  Here’s the link I found from Sopphey Says.  Should I mention that blog, heck, I don’t know, but they did some research and their research helped me out.  So there you go.

So the Liebster Award is given to up and coming bloggers who have 200 followers.  The Liebster Award possibly originated with a German Blogger; who knows when since Sopphey Says could only go back to 2010.  In German “liebster” means: beloved person, liked very much, dear, favorite.  The list goes on, based on where you go to translate the meaning of the word.

Let’s get down to business, shall we?

The Rules of the Award:
1.  Post eleven facts about yourself.
2.  Answer the questions the tagger has set for you and create eleven questions for people you’ve nominated.
3.  Choose eleven people (with fewer than 200 followers) to give this award to and link them in your post.
4.  Go to their page and tell them.
5.  Remember, no tag backs.

Okay, let’s face it.  Since WHENEVER this award was initially started, people have decided to change the rules.  The followers have gone from 3,000 to 200.  The questions have gone from 3 to 5 to 11 and the bloggers you have to tag have increased as well.  Even the rules I’ve received were slightly different.  Now, when you say 200 followers, what followers are we actually talking about here?  Are we talking about just followers on GFC, Linky and the Networked Blogs?  Or are we supposed to include Facebook and Twitter?  I have ABSOLUTELY, POSITIVELY no idea!!!  Thus, I’m making up my own rules.  I’m not going to include Facebook and Twitter.  I’m just going to look at the blog’s page and see what the number of followers listed is.
