REVIEW

Pulse-pounding, intense, and action packed.  Kim Cresswell’s debut novel will leave you breathless and wanting more.  Reflection engages you from the first few pages of the book.  Immediately, you are drawn into a world of intrigue, deception, and murder.

Moments after witnessing the murder of her ex-husband, Whitney Steel realizes she may finally have the story of a lifetime.  That story turns into more than she could ever imagine once she realizes the life of a child is at stake.  However, in order to gain access to the lab where the child is being held, she must get through the head of security, undercover FBI agent, Blake Neely.  He is determined to investigate the death of his sister, protect Whitney, and take lab owner Nathan Shaw down.  But, first, he must gain the trust of Whitney without ever letting her know his true identity.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book.  Cresswell does a fantastic job creating believable and relatable characters.  Her writing style flows very well and you are easily drawn into this world of intrigue and deception.  I connected with the characters and found myself cheering alongside them.  Together, Whitney and Blake make a great team.  It’s refreshing to see a hero who trusts the heroine to be actively involved in the take-down.

Reflection is a story of two people who struggle to trust others but find themselves in situations where lying is not only second nature, it is required.  Because of this distrust, they fight their instant connection but their desire for one another quickly overcomes their fear.  Trust remains a central issue throughout the book and Whitney and Blake learn to trust themselves and each other.

This is a story of intrigue and romance and it will not disappoint.
