Is he the man she thinks he is?
Their first encounter was unforgettable,
Now it’s time for round two.

Lauren Roberts might have mistaken Sutton Wingate for his twin brother once, but now the masquerade is over—and there’s no mistaking their chemistry. Yet their reignited passion also sparks Sutton’s suspicion. Proving she’s not a spy plotting to bring down his family’s business empire won’t be easy. Can she convince the embattled CFO to finally let her see the man behind the mask?

Andrea Laurence is a new to me author. I can definitely say that I’ve been missing out.

Billionaire Behind the Mask is the fifth book in the Texas Cattleman’s Club: Rags to Riches series. The series focuses on the Wingate family and their company, Wingate Enterprises. Over the last few months, the company has been under federal investigation and the family knows they’re being set up. But the question is why and by whom.

Lauren Roberts is the owner of two successful food trucks in Royal. Her life is all about her business. Lauren’s dream is to one day own her own brick and mortar restaurant. Being all work and no play, Lauren’s best friend enters her into a contest, where she wins a full makeover and tickets to the Cattleman’s Club Masquerade Ball. Where most people would be excited by this opportunity, Lauren is dreading it. She has extremely bad memories of the Cattleman’s Club. But she promises her best friend that she will go and attempt to have a good time.

Sutton Wingate is a lost man. Due to all the issues happening with the company he and his twin brother Sebastian run, Sutton finds himself without a job and kicked out of the family home he has grown up in. He knows that half the people attending the ball are just vultures looking to see the Wingates fall on their faces. But he attends the ball to support his sister since she worked so hard to put it all together.

When Lauren and Sutton step into the doors of the Cattlemen’s Club neither expects their night to become so memorable. While still wearing their masks and agreeing to not share names or other personal details, the two embark on a night of passion. Unfortunately, when Sutton wakes up his mystery lady is long gone. Later, Lauren mistakes Sebastian for Sutton, not knowing they are twins, and the true fun and games begin.

I loved the characters of Lauren and Sutton. Sebastian even has more book time than in previous books. I love the interaction Lauren has with each brother. Once she knows there are two of them, she’s able to tell who is who easily. Billionaire Behind the Mask shows both Lauren and Sutton being vulnerable and insecure. I didn’t really think there was a lot of conflict in the book. It was more about misunderstandings and self-esteem issues for both main characters. In my opinion, Billionaire Behind the Mask is a must-read. I’ve read all the books in the series, but I think this could be a standalone read. Things are heating up with regards to what’s happening with the investigation into Wingate Enterprises. I am definitely looking forward to the next three books in this series, where I expect to find out what’s really happening with the company. I’m beyond excited to read Sebastian’s story as there is a peek at who will be his lady love and what their story will entail.
