From Harlequin Romance: Be swept away by glamorous and heartfelt love stories.
Jennifer Faye’s Fairytale Christmas with the Millionaire is simply that, a fairytale set around Christmas. The story is a modern-day retelling of Cinderella with a twist, taking place during the most magical time of the year.
Alina Martin is the building manager/repairman for Stirling Apartments. Since her father, the previous building manager passed away, the residents are the only family she has. Unfortunately, Alina’s stepmother and step-sisters also live in the building and love to make as much work for her as possible. Graham Toliver is the new owner of Stirling Apartments. He’s been trying to buy the residents out so he can demolish the building and build something else. Alina has staged a protest and has gotten as many of the residents as possible to refuse to sell. When Graham goes to the apartment building to speak with the building manager who he thinks is named Al or Alan, he’s shocked to discover Alina, whom he is instantly attracted to. Alina makes a deal with Graham to work as the building manager, her hope is that he will get to know and love the tenants as much as she does and change his mind about tearing down the building.
Jennifer has written characters you can’t help but fall in love with, or despise as in the case of Alina’s, stepmother, and step-sisters. Alina, Graham, and Mr. Merryweather will burrow themselves in your heart. This is a story where you know the ultimate ending is a happily-ever-after, but the journey to get there is so much fun. Fairytale Christmas with the Millionaire is definitely one of those stories that I think about when it comes to Christmas and romances. The story is sweet, romantic, and magical.
