Actress Carrie Murray’s films are a Christmas lover’s delight. Filled with twinkling lights, festive carols, and happy endings, they’re the perfect escape from reality—for her and the audience. Then Tinseltown calls.

Braxton Timothy is Hollywood’s biggest action star. Handsome and talented but decidedly on the naughty list, no one can fathom his sudden desire to produce a feel-good Christmas movie—least of all, his no-name co-star.

Alternating between scenes reminiscent of everyone’s favorite made-for-TV movies and unexpected, off-screen chemistry, Gingerbread Falls has surprises in store this holiday season. The question is, will there be enough Christmas magic to convince two imperfect people that they’re perfect for each other?

This “sweet as a Christmas cookie” romance (bestselling author Heidi Swain) includes an original recipe for Maple Glazed Gingerbread Scones.

Name: Carrie Murray

Age: 27

Date of birth: March 19

Physical Description: Most people use the word tiny for me. I don’t know if they’re talking about my height or my bravery, but for this question, we’ll say my height, which there isn’t much of. I have long, wavy chestnut brown hair and brown eyes that Braxton likes to call sienna. I think he was channeling his Crayola crayons at the time. Anyway, I guess you could say I look like any small-town Mary Sue who serves the townspeople coffee or crumpets, depending on the movie. I won’t complain, it’s the reason I’ve done eighteen Christmas movies to date.

Occupation: Lead Actress for Christmas Movies

3 dislikes in no particular order:

Fake people

Drink of choice: Member’s Mark

Favorite food: Burgers

Favorite song: Let it Go by James Bay

Choice of transportation: A private plane when I’m traveling for work or my Volkswagen GTI when I’m zipping around Hollywood.

Favorite way to spend an evening: A double date with Braxton and my best friend Ari and her husband, Henry, or binge-watching Netflix all night and into the early morning hours.

Favorite holiday tradition: None. Even after eighteen Christmas movies I still can’t find any Christmas spirit. Though, sleeping under a lit Christmas tree with Mr. Hollywood is starting to grow on me.

Best memory to date: Being trapped in a cabin overnight with Braxton Timothy…

If you could have a do-over, what would you do differently? Be more open. Forgive easier. Tell myself doubt kills dreams.

What’s something you’ve said you would never do, but in fact have done? Have a one-night stand with Braxton Timothy…

Most romantic gesture (done or received): Being a Christmas romance actress, I have experienced almost every romantic gesture, at least onscreen. I don’t know if you can call this a gesture, but when Brax accepted my ‘ugly’ as quickly, openly, and honestly as he accepted my beautiful, that meant more to me than any flowers, chocolate, or grand romantic gesture ever could.

Words to live by: You only get one life, so live it not out of spite, but out of happiness and love.

Name: Braxton Timothy

Age: 33

Date of birth: September 24th

Physical Description: From what I’m told, I’m your ‘typical’ Hollywood action star. I have blond hair, green eyes, and a smile that dazzles the camera. I’m a hair over six feet tall, an even buck eighty, and most of that is muscle.

Occupation: Hollywood action star and the co-star in one romantic Christmas flick. Currently dipping my toe in the production side of the pool.

Myself for a very long time, but I’m learning not everything that happened in my past was my fault.

Drink of choice: Member’s Mark with Carrie on the floor by the Christmas tree

Favorite food: Spaghetti Bolognese

Favorite song: How to Save a Life ~ The Fray

Choice of transportation: Private plane when I’m working and my Ducati Scrambler Classic around Tinseltown

Favorite way to spend an evening: Before my time in Gingerbread Falls, I would have said any A-list party in Hollywood wearing a tux and rubbing elbows with the most beautiful women in the world. After my time in Gingerbread Falls, my answer is anywhere Carrie is.

Favorite holiday tradition: Sleeping under the Christmas tree on a bed of blankets and pillows and wrapped up in the arms of Little Miss Christmas.

Best memory to date: Being trapped in a cabin overnight with Carrie Murray…

If you could have a do-over, what would you do differently? I would insist my grandparents take all of us to the store that fateful day when I was twelve.

What’s something you’ve said you would never do, but in fact have done? Ha! If you name it, I’ve probably said I won’t do it and then did it. I didn’t make the best decisions when I was younger. I spent a lot of time trying to outrun my demons with fast cars and bottles of bourbon. One thing stands out in my mind with this question, though. I always said I would never forgive myself for what happened to my parents, but then one day, I did, and my entire life changed almost overnight.

Most romantic gesture (done or received): As a Hollywood star, this is a tough one because I have the ability and the means to make any gesture as grand as I want and have it splashed across every paper by morning. Really, the only romantic gesture that stands out in my mind was when Carrie traced every scar across my back. They were my shackles of shame, but when she touched me, they fell away to reveal a mutual understanding. We would both carry scars forever, but if we trusted each other, they would no longer hurt every hour of every day.

Words to live by: Work to live not live to work.
