Carina Press Romance Promise & Giveaway

Are you a romance reader? Do you like happily-ever-after (HEA) or happy-for-now (HFN) stories?  Carina Press is making you a promise.  When you pick up one of their books labeled Carina Press Romance Promise, they promise that no matter how much angst and tears you and the characters endure, you will all have a HEA or HFN you crave, by the time you reach the end of the book.  You can find out more by visiting their blog here.

The current books meeting this tag are as follows.  More backlist books will be added soon.
(Clicking the book covers will take you to Amazon.  However, the books are available for purchase from the Carina Press website, Barnes & Noble, iTunes, Kobo and Google Play.)

My question to you is, do you have a preference when reading romance books?  Do you like HEA (happily ever afters) or HFN (happy for now) and why?

  1. With all the annoyances, pain and sadness in the real world, I want my books to always have HEA/HFN endings. I read to escape from the junk in daily life-not to find more of it. Happy endings in the books I read are an absolute must!

  2. I must have an HEA or HFN, but much perfer an HEA when all is said and done. (I hate cliffy's so even if there is more to the series I really want an HEA or HFN) Reading romance is supposed to be an escape and is supposed to be enjoyable. It's understood and welcomed to have turmoil and strife throughout a story but the whole point is to watch them get through it and find their true love and a happy life together. To have closure and not a gaping raw emotional wound at the end. lol

  3. I'm liking your answers. Reading romance and reading in general is a pure escape. If I'm going to get invested in the characters lives, I want a happy ending. Real life is already hard.

  4. Always love HEAs. I like everything coming together with a nice shiny bow. It carries over into other things as well. I never have been one who can watch a TV show where there are continuing or lingering issues through episodes or even seasons. I like procedural shows where the killer or wrong-doer is found at the end. :)

    1. I like your style. I'm still screaming over the ending of last season's Grimm.

  5. I like the closure that a HEA or HFN gives you. Then I can move on that next great book!

  7. I don't much care for cliffhangers in romance books. HEA or HFN all the way!

  8. The last few years have been hard. Both of my grandmothers passed away and I have had major health issues. I need a HEA/HFN!
