Guest Post by Riley Ross:
Hello Readers, I am Riley Ross one of the writers of Romantic Tales: Bedtime Stories Season 1. The Getaway is a contemporary romance story with some well-placed erotic scenes thrown in. Instead of it being the typical love story where they meet and fall head over heels in love and break up over some drama; I wanted to have them already established as a couple and show how they deal with the drama that comes their way. To break up the monotony of the drama, I added a couple of hilarious scenes in the story, my inspiration behind Brutus the Guard Goose was based on my husband’s run in with a couple of geese at different times in his life. He wanted me to add that because he didn’t want everyone to think that geese were prejudiced towards him.
The drama they have to deal with is Mike’s vengeful mother Elaine and his scheming ex-girlfriend Brooke. Elaine, is loosely based on my mother and the over the top villains that you see in cartoons. Elaine wants Mike to be with his ex and is determined to destroy Juliet to get what she wants. She doesn’t count on Jules to have a backbone and fight for her man. Brooke has her own intentions that will be revealed in Season 2 of Romantic Tales: Bedtime Stories Season 2. The character of Mike is loosely based on my husband Jason with a dash of my favorite wrestler thrown in. Juliet is a mixture of Emma Stone and Emma Roberts.
I am really proud of the Romantic Tales: Bedtime Stories Season 1 ladies. It really has been a wonderful learning experience for me. Also to my husband thank you for encouraging me to do this. I love you Jason!!!!
