The road to trouble is paved with sweet temptation…

Always the rebel in her ultra-conservative family, Quinn Sakata dreams of quitting her dad's real-estate business and restoring the old Mountain Ridge Bed and Breakfast in her hometown of Hope Springs. Except that Quinn's not the only person bidding on it. Worse still, her competitor is her high school crush, Heath Brantley, who is all kinds of ripped, tattooed hotness...

So much for her "nice, conservative boys" rule.

Heath has his own reasons for bidding on Mountain Ridge, and he won't give in without a fight - even to the red-lipped hottie with a sailor's mouth. But when their rivalry shifts into an unexpected zing of chemistry, Heath realizes he's in deep trouble. Because it's inevitable that emotions will get involved, and he needs to keep his eyes on the prize before they both get hurt.
REVIEW
If you’re looking for a totally sweet romance, Crazy for the Competition is the perfect read.  Cindi Madsen pairs a misunderstood, reformed bad boy with a spirited, feisty woman, just bursting to allow the real her to show through.

Heath Brantley grew up on the wrong side of town, and spent most of his time getting in trouble and dealing with his drunk father.  Heath returns to Hope Springs to be involved in his seven-year-old brother’s life and to fulfill a dream he and his older brother have had since they were kids.  Quinn Sakata values and respects her Japanese heritage and the lessons she’s been taught.  The problem is that her super conservative family stifles her and doesn’t know who she truly is.  Quinn is outspoken, loves to swear, and has an amazing heart.

The two are thrust together when they each bid on the old and falling down Mountain Ridge Bed and Breakfast.  Things really get interesting when the town committee forces them to work together to build a float for Frontier Days.  Spending so much time together enables Heath and Quinn to really get to know each other.  Turns out Heath is the first and only guy Quinn has ever met who understands her.

“I think it’s cool that you care about your heritage, but yet you don’t conform.  Promise me that no matter what happens, you’ll never lose that feisty, impulsive side of you.”

While it’s no surprise what happens with the bed and breakfast, I was surprised by how much Heath managed to get into my heart.  Heath is the guy every father should want for his daughter.  Quinn is the best friend every girl should have.  I am so loving the Hope Springs Series.  Oh and the best part, the books are standalones.  I’m looking forward to hopefully having Cam’s story written.  It will be interesting to see what kind of woman brings him to his knees.
