For Prime-Werewolf Ember Stilwell, life has been far from normal. Decades ago, a vengeful Witch cursed her Pack, leaving the women of her line incapable of feeling love. When an organized group of immortal killers begin to stalk and capture wolves from her pack, she sets out on a path fraught with danger. Just when it seems the world as she knows it will be changed forever, she meets Collin, an Alpha Werewolf with a body built for sin. As her heart begins to heal, she comes to find that the demons of her past are not nearly as dangerous as the nightmares she will be forced to face in her future. Can finding her true love conquer all? Or will the ability to feel for the first time be overshadowed by losing everything else she holds dear?
Waking up fur covered and fanged isn't the easiest thing for a girl to deal with. Unfortunately, for Roxanne Delaney, that is her new reality. The only upside is finding herself the bondmate to one hot and sexy werewolf, Nathan Hayes. The downside; learning to adapt to a primal element that craves the rending of flesh and the oh-so-sweet taste of blood. Will this shy waitress-turned-wolf rise to the challenges of this new life—one that is now littered with otherworldly creatures hell-bent on destroying her and the people she cares for? Or will the pressures of a new-found love and difficult battles prove too much for Roxanne to handle?
Hi Gena. Welcome to Read Your Writes Book Reviews. Your current series is called “A Prime Wolf Series”. There are currently two books in the series, Ember’s Curse and Roxanne Desired. Could you please tell me about the series and the books?
The Prime Wolf series is a paranormal romance with a main focus on all sorts of different kinds of paranormal creatures. If you pay attention while reading it you will notice that there are little to no humans in the book. Yet, the Werewolves, Vampires, Water Fae, and witches live in secret among them.
Are the books standalones?
They flow into each other. So I would recommend reading them in order.
What’s the coolest thing that happens in one of your books?
I think a scene in Roxanne Desired (book 2) where Harper lops off the heads of two wolves she is fighting is pretty cool.
I’m really intrigued by this series. When you start to write, do you already know where you want your story to go or are your stories character driven?
I am both a pantster and a plotter. I start off the book with a general idea of how I want it to begin…then run with it. If I get stuck on a scene, I will plot out a couple of the following scenes to help get over the hump.
In addition to your Prime Wolf Series, you are in the process of writing a new series called Kris Chase. Can you tell me about that series and when we can expect it to come out?
Created Darkly, A Kris Chase novel, is expected to be released this Winter. It’s about necromancers, ghosts, and vampires. Kris Chase is a Creator, one of the strongest types of necros. She has the rare ability to create vampires. But at the behest of disgruntled ghosts, who constantly come to her for help, she hunts and kills them instead.
In this first installment, Kris is sent on a mission to save her sister. Along the way, she learns how to truly embrace herself and her gifts, while at the same time; she realizes that even though monsters are in fact real, they aren’t all evil.
Now, it’s time for the fun get to know you a little questions. What’s your favorite color?
