He’s damn good at rescuing people, but she has no intention of being saved.

Madison Foley is determined to stand on her own two feet, current circumstances be damned. But from a roadside delivery to a diaper run that ends in the ER, fate keeps sending heroically hot paramedic Hunter Knox to save her. And now he’s trying to save her again.

Hunter rescues people. He’s damn good at it, too, but with Madison, he’s struggling to walk away, even if getting involved jeopardizes his career. Offering the single mom his spare room for a few weeks solves her problem, but sharing close quarters with a stubborn, sexy, strictly off-limits houseguest provokes uncomfortable new ones, like a sizzling attraction neither of them can afford to pursue.

Now Hunter’s discovering he has a few needs of his own—needs that could ruin his hard-fought plans for the future. But the more he tries to separate himself, the less clear it is who’s the rescuer…and who’s being rescued.

REVIEW
Emergency Delivery is the perfect title for the second book in Samanthe Beck’s Love Emergency series.  Hunter Knox is a paramedic who responds to an accident call on I-75. To his surprise, he discovers twenty-two-year-old Madison Foley in full labor. Something about a scared Madison calls to Hunter and he can’t get her and her baby Joy out of his mind.

With no friends or family, Madison is doing the best she can to take care of Joy and herself.  When a medical emergency lands Madison back in the hospital, Hunter rushes in to make sure she and Joy are okay.  Realizing Madison’s situation, Hunter steps in to be the friend and family Madison and Joy need.

Hunter is at a crossroad in his life.  He’s about to embark on something that is going to require all of his time and energy.  The last thing he needs are distractions. However, rescuing people is what he does.  Hunter has never met anyone who needed rescuing so much but didn’t want to be rescued.  Madison might be down on her luck, but she’s determined to rescue herself.  Hunter offers Madison the use of his guest bedroom until she can get back on her feet.  He just doesn’t expect not to want them to leave.  Ever.  Madison is unprepared for the feelings she starts to have for Hunter. Their little family of three is everything she’s ever dreamed of.  She just wants to help Hunter as much as he helps her.  “You have to have faith in happy endings. Otherwise, what’s the point?”

I loved Hunter and Madison so much.  Hunter is sweet and caring.  He’s one of those characters I knew was going to be special and he doesn’t disappoint.  Madison is young and has made some mistakes, but she’s determined to overcome those mistakes.  She’s caring, not afraid of hard work, and is extremely strong willed. Madison and Hunter compliment each other in every way.  Their story is definitely one I wish could last forever.
